If this has happened to you before, don’t worry; you’re not alone. That’s why Disney created the Genie and Genie Plus services, to help take the guesswork out of planning your perfect Disney World vacation.

In this blog post, I’ll explain how these services work and what they can do for you. From making restaurant reservations to booking FastPasses, Genie and Genie Plus services will make your next trip to Disney World even more magical.

What are Disney Genie and Genie Plus services?

Disney Genie is Disney’s new service to help guests plan their perfect vacation. Using the Disney Genie website or app, guests can search for activities, dining and accommodations based on their interests and budget. They can also view Genie’s customized recommendations that consider the travel group’s age, preferences and schedule.

What is the difference between the free Genie service and Genie Plus?

Disney recently announced a new service called Disney Genie+, and many people wonder how it differs from the Free Disney Genie Service.

One of the features available for free in the My Disney Experience app is day planning. You can enter your interests, favorite attractions and other experiences you want to do in the park and see suggested plans accordingly. Features such as how long the wait times are, what dining options are available, and what your next attraction should be based on anticipated wait times are all available in the free version of Genie.

Genie+ is to Disney World what FastPass+ is to Disney World and FastPass/MaxPass is to Disneyland. The queue names previously known as FastPass queues are now called Lightning Lane. With Genie+, you are given the opportunity to pass not to the lines that everyone is waiting for, but to the lines designated as Lightning Lane where there is no line. Genie+ allows you to fast-track through the attractions you have booked for a fixed daily fee.

Disney Genie and Genie Plus are available at four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. All four parks are included in the Disney Genie and Genie Plus services. This means you can use your Disney Genie or Genie Plus account to make Lightning Lane reservations, view wait times and more for any of the four parks.

How much do Disney Genie and Genie Plus cost?

Disney’s Genie and Genie Plus services are available at Disney World for a flat fee per guest. These services give guests access to a personal assistant who can help guests with dining reservations, queue reservation selections and more. Prices vary depending on the day and period. So it’s best to check for yourself, but a general price range is around $15 – $25.

How to use Disney’s Genie Plus?

Disney’s Genie app is a must-have for every Disney World vacation. It allows guests to customize and manage their entire itinerary from their mobile device. First, download the free app from the App Store or Google Play. Then create an account and log in. Once logged in, you can start planning your dream vacation by identifying your theme park and adding attractions, dining, hotels and more to your personal itinerary. The app will give you suggestions and you can plan your own itinerary based on these suggestions. You can also view wait times for popular attractions, see where character experiences take place in the parks, and find the best route to get around using Disney’s interactive map feature.

If you’re on the Genie+ service, select attractions can be booked once per day. You cannot enter the same attraction by reserving it again and again. The time between booked attractions must be 120 minutes.

With Genie+ you can plan for up to 12 family members or friends. For this, you need to connect to My Family and Friends. The people you are going to the theme park with may also have changed their minds. If you change your mind after you have made your plans, you can cancel the ride. You have the right to cancel the reservation, but you need to think carefully. If you want to go to the same attraction again, the available time may be later in the day. There is a possibility that there may not be an available time, depending on the peak.

Overall, we think the Genie and Genie Plus services add convenience to the Disney World experience. It makes it much easier to get around the parks and see many popular attractions without having to wait in line. If you don’t like waiting in lines and want to experience as many attractions as possible, weigh the pros and cons.
