Sazova Science, Culture and Art Park, known as Sazova Park, was opened in 2012 and has a very large area of 400,000 square meters. Whether you come with your child or come as an adult, Sazova Park is a relaxing area where you can have a very pleasant time.
Far from an ordinary park, Sazova Park has extraordinary structures to visit and have fun. Entrance to the park is not paid, but you have to pay a small amount to enter these structures.
Fairy Tale Castle
In Sazova Park, one of the most beautiful places to visit in Eskişehir, the Fairy Tale Castle, which can be seen from both inside and outside, is a structure where both children and adults can have a lot of fun. Inspired by Turkey’s famous towers, the building tells stories with tours organized in the building and enables children to solve the events in the story. They can communicate one-on-one with the characters they have read about in books until today and live the stories. For this reason, it was a well thought out activity.
The pirate ship in Sazova Park bears a striking resemblance to the Mayflower, the ship that took passengers from England to the USA in 1620 and laid the foundations of humanity in the USA.
The designs of the captain’s mansion and the rooms on the lower floor of the pirate ship are very well designed. The parrot, the representative animal of pirates, is not left out in the wheelhouse. On the pirate ship named May Flower, you can see the dungeon for the punishment of criminals, the rotten human skeleton, the captain’s mansion, the hammocks of the workers working on the ship and the kitchen section on the lower floor.
The lower floor was stocked with fruits and vegetables for the pirates’ long voyages. The area in the middle of the lower floor is a typical cookhouse. There is also a table where they can eat the food they cooked. Cannons were placed outside the small windows on the side for safety.
It is possible to board a pirate ship for a small fee.
Eti Underwater World, located in Sazova Park, hosts a total of 2150 fish from 84 different species. It is possible to see fish brought from many parts of the world such as the Amazon River, the Red Sea, the Atlantic Ocean, the South American Lakes and the North Aegean Sea in the Underwater World.
Entrance to Eti Underwater World is paid.
Sazova Science and Experiment Center
If you are interested in science and physics, the Science Center and Space House awaits you in Sazova Park. You will spend a few hours in this center, which will contribute a lot to your knowledge, and you will not regret it. The center is especially designed for children to solve, learn and test the working logic of mechanisms, but it appeals not only to children but also to adults.
Sabanci Space House
The building in Sazova Park, which resembles a large golf ball from the outside, is the Space House of the Science Experiment Center. Built with the support of the Sabancı Foundation, the building hosts presentations on other planets, stars and other members of the universe. It is a facility that is similar to a movie theater, but works like a planetarium. With a capacity of 96 people, you can watch 3D shows in reclining seats looking at the screen overhead.
Train Experience in Sazova
There is a train line passing through the stations built on the four sides of Sazova Park. You can get on the train from the north, south, east and west sides of Sazova Park and it makes a full round trip in about 15 minutes. Since Sazova Park is so big, it makes sense to use this train.
