Magic Kingdom, a world-renowned Disney theme park, is nestled in the heart of Orlando, Florida. As the first of four theme parks built within the sprawling Walt Disney World Resort, Magic Kingdom has been captivating the hearts of children and adults alike since its grand opening in 1971.

With its iconic Cinderella Castle at the center, the park encompasses a vast array of enchanting attractions, entertainment, and dining experiences. Known for its charm and unforgettable moments, Magic Kingdom remains a must-visit destination for families, friends, and Disney enthusiasts from around the globe.

Magic Kingdom is divided into six distinct lands, each with its unique atmosphere and attractions. These include Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland.

Below you can see the attractions we went to in order. Since we went as two adults, this is more of an adult article, you will need to make some arrangements if you are traveling with children.

With the mobile application, you can instantly follow the waiting queues that change according to the day and time, and you can act according to the situation and determine the most appropriate queue yourself.

Main Street USA

When you enter the park, you first enter Main Street USA. The first building you come across is the train station. The WDW Railroad provides quick access to Frontierland, where Splash Mountain is located, or Fantasyland, where The Brainstormer is located.

As you walk down Main Street, U.S.A., take some time to explore the unique shops lining the street. You’ll find everything from toys and clothes to sweets and souvenirs.

Not only that, it is a place with different meanings.

  • For example, the names in the credits of Disney movies are similar to the names in the windows on the street.
  • In a movie, the director’s name is written last in the first credits and first in the last credits; here, Walt Disney’s name appears as the last name on Main Street as you move towards Cinderella Castle, and when you leave the park, this name appears first.

  • There are many hidden messages in the park. The firehouse is named Engine Co. 71. This is a reference to 1971, the opening date of Disney World.
  • The street lights are also a wink to the development of electricity. It starts with gas lamps and Main Street is completed with electric street lamps. Without going into more details, let’s have fun. And don’t forget to meet your favorite Disney Characters as they stroll down Main Street.
  • Main Street Vehicles are a must-do for any visit to Disney’s Magic Kingdom park. These horse-drawn streetcars and fire engines will take guests from the front of the park all the way down Main Street, U.S.A. to Town Square.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Based on Walt Disney’s first feature film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, one of the rides in Fantasyland, is a roller coaster with a mine train concept. It is not a very high adrenaline ride, but it is quite fun.

Waiting areas in theme parks are designed in an interactive way to prevent people from getting bored. Here, too, you interact with gems, there are gems that play music or lights up the sky.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, a 4-minute ride with Winnie the Pooh, one of the most beloved bears of our childhood, is a light ride on the water, just the kind of ride that kids love.

Disney’s Magic Kingdom is home to many beloved characters, including Winnie the Pooh. Guests can explore the Hundred Acre Wood, meet Pooh and his friends, and enjoy attractions inspired by the classic stories.

  • Ride The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh: This classic dark ride takes guests through some of their favorite scenes from the Winnie the Pooh stories.

  • Explore Hunnypot Clubhouse: This interactive play area is inspired by Christopher Robin’s clubhouse from the stories. Kids can explore, play games, and find hidden hunny pots throughout.

Jungle Cruise

One of the classic ride in park. Jungle Cruise is a water activity in Adventureland and with this delightful ride, you hop on a small boat and take a short 7-minute journey with a comical guide through the rivers that are recreated from different parts of the world.

The dangerous and exciting jungle ride among the animals is inspired by the movie The African Queen. You will see bathing elephants, hippos, crocodiles, cobras, all mechanical of course.

Although Walt Disney wanted to have a great ride with real animals, it was decided to be mechanical because the behavior of the animals could not be controlled. To hide the underwater mechanics, the water is given an artificial color to make it look blurry.

Pirates of the Caribbean

Pirates of the Caribbean, located in Adventureland, is a beloved boat ride that takes guests on a swashbuckling adventure through a pirate-infested Caribbean.

As you embark on your journey, you’ll encounter animatronic pirates, witness thrilling ship battles, and marvel at intricately detailed scenes that bring the world of pirates to life. The immersive atmosphere, catchy tunes, and engaging storyline make this attraction a fan favorite for all ages.

Themed as the “wildest ride in the wilderness,” this thrilling attraction features sharp turns, sudden drops, and breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

The detailed theming, from the rustic mining town to the rocky mountain peaks, creates a truly immersive experience that transports guests to the Wild West.

Liberty Square

Liberty Square is one of six themed lands at Magic Kingdom and one of the park’s original lands. It pays tribute to the time period in American history just before the Revolutionary War. This is also where you’ll find The Haunted Mansion, a must-do for many guests.

The Haunted Mansion

Haunted Mansion is a dark ride. It is also one of the most popular attractions at the Magic Kingdom. The line to get into the ride can be long, but it’s definitely worth the wait.

Although there are horror-themed objects such as graves, ghosts, special effects, skeletons around, let me tell you that it is not an extraordinary scary element for adults. For adults, it is not only scary but also entertaining, there are spirits and ghosts in the air.

Some children didn’t want to enter because they were scared even while waiting in line and had to leave the queue with their families.

The vehicle you ride in the Haunted Mansion ride is an omniover, also called Doom Buggy, surrounded by seats where you cannot see behind you. Although it is a little scary event, they are actually tools that can make the excitement go through the roof.

It’s a Small World

They have taken different countries of the world, minimalized and embellished their cultural activities. Although it is a very slow ride on the water, animatronic puppets are dressed in clothes from different cultures of the world.

They both dance and sing It’s A Small World, a song symbolizing world peace. The song is beautiful, listen to it before you go. During the ride we see very colorful images, the colors are amazing.

Peter Pan’s Flight

We leave It’s a Small World and enter Peter Pan’s Flight directly opposite. A simple ride by today’s standards. Still, Peter Pan has an important place in Disney. This classic dark ride takes guests on a magical journey to Neverland with Peter Pan.

You get on the omnimover-style vehicles with no visible back like in Haunted Mansion and start flying like Tinker Bell after the attendant sprinkles so-called magic dust on you.

Guests board “flying” pirate ships and soar above London and into the Darling children’s bedroom window. They then fly past Captain Hook’s ship and over Skull Rock before returning back to London.

The vehicle sweeps you off your feet like in Universal Studios E.T. Adventure. When you think of a Peter Pan flight, you might think of more extreme things, but don’t think of such things.

Think simple here. The ride is slow moving and very tame, making it perfect for small children. However, even older kids and adults will enjoy the timeless story and charming visuals.

What are the top rides for toddlers at Magic Kingdom?

Rides for kids include Country Bear Jamboree, a live musical show, Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, Mickey’s Philharmagic, an animated show, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin and Astro Orbiter, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, Monsters Laugh Floor, which interacts with the audience to make them laugh.

With its stunning architecture visible from every corner of the park, this magnificent structure pays tribute to the 1950 Cinderella animated film, where it first made its appearance.

Designed to capture the essence of a fairytale castle, this nearly 61-meter-tall and 56-meter-long edifice was carefully constructed to avoid the need for flashing warning lights that could interfere with airplanes.

Drawing inspiration from various castles, including Moszna Castle in Poland and Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany, Cinderella Castle boasts 27 towers and showcases a breathtaking design. While there is a similar castle in Shanghai Disney Resort, it’s worth noting that the castle silhouette in the Walt Disney logo represents Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland in California, not Cinderella Castle.

Built to withstand storms of up to 200 km/h, the castle’s resilient structure also takes into account Florida’s susceptibility to hurricanes, ensuring that this iconic symbol continues to stand tall as the centerpiece of the Magic Kingdom.

Walt Disney Magic Kingdom entrance fee and ticket price

We bought our ticket online. You can buy Walt Disney entrance ticket from Disney World’s own website. Since the prices are variable, you can find out the current prices on the site.

If you want to buy tickets at the gate entrances, especially during peak periods, you may lose time due to the density. When you buy a ticket online, keep a printout of your ticket with you. At the theme park entrance, you turn this paper into a ticket and enter the theme park.

Walt Disney Online Bilet Nasil Alinir

What is Park Hopper? Park Hopper allows you to enter more than one Walt Disney theme park on the same day. We allocated 1 day to Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom and by the time we left, we had been everywhere we wanted to go and even had time to ourselves.

Park Hopper is not recommended if you only have one day to spend at the Magic Kingdom, but if you can spare more than one day, you can take advantage of this opportunity to see other theme parks. Park Hopper is valid not only for Magic Kingdom but also for other Disney theme parks.

Parking at Walt Disney

If you are traveling to Walt Disney World by private car, you will have to pay a parking fee. No matter which theme park of Walt Disney you are going to, you will pass through toll booths on the way.

Vehicle parking fee is 25$ per day. After passing the toll booths, you reach the parking lot with the guidance of the signs and the staff. We went to Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom and the parking lot is so big, so systematic.

Walt Disney Magic Kingdom Park Alani Ucreti

After parking your car, you should definitely take a photo of the signs in the parking lots with the names of Disney characters.

There are many parking lots around and each one is named after Disney characters such as Simba, Peter Pan, Aladdin, Zurg, Jafar, etc. Don’t say I’ll remember, after visiting all these places and getting tired, you will want to reach your car as soon as possible and you don’t want to confuse the location of the car.

Then you will need to reach the Transportation and Ticket Center. Shuttle trains run regularly to this area from the road where you parked your car. You can take them or walk if you parked close by. If you didn’t buy your ticket online, you can also buy tickets at the TTC’s ticket booths or kiosks.

By the way, we haven’t reached Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom yet. You can take the ferry or train from the TTC to the entrance of Magic Kingdom. The ferry is slower, the train is a faster option. We preferred the train that goes around the Seven Seas Lagoon.

Then we take these trains to reach the entrance of the Magic Kingdom.

You can enter the Magic Kingdom after going through the security check and converting your online ticket printout into a pass. This was the transportation to Magic Kingdom. I guess you can reach the entrance systematically with similar directions in other theme parks.
