Silifke Castle

One of the places you should visit when you visit Silifke is Silifke Castle, which can see Silifke from the hill and has a wonderful view.

As a result of the studies of Mersin’s historical castle, it was understood that it belonged to the early Roman period. The castle, which took on a medieval appearance with the arrangements and additions made over time, was built on a hill 185 meters high from the ground.

Inside the castle, there are arched galleries, water cisterns, warehouses, etc. that should be in a castle. However, when you climb up to the castle, you are greeted by a working area that is still active. Obviously, climbing the castle is not that necessary. You can go up to the hill where the castle is located and watch the view of Silifke and see Silifke Castle more closely.
