Osmaniye City Museum

The building where the Osmaniye Municipality City Museum is located was used as Çamlık Social Facilities in the 1960s. Later, the exterior facade was arranged in the form of stone cladding in Seljuk architecture features and a pointed-cornered, ornamented, eye-pleasing muqarnas door entrance and took its current form. Osmaniye City Museum has become a good city museum with its details that can provide the most extensive information about Osmaniye and its history to a tourist coming from outside Osmaniye.

The entrance of Osmaniye City Museum is associated with Osmaniye’s 3000 years of history. The large lion statues on both sides of the entrance gate symbolize the Hittites. After passing the lion statues, the symbol of power, the ram’s horn and the eight-pointed Seljuk star motif are embroidered on the floor of the garden. On the right side of the entrance gate, a double-headed eagle, the symbol of Turkish dominance, is used.
