Antalya Aquarium: World's Longest Tunnel Aquarium
Antalya Aquarium was opened to visitors in 2012 and has become one of the important sightseeing areas that local and foreign tourists visiting Antalya add to their sightseeing routes.
The architecture of the aquarium, which is one of the most important touristic areas in Turkey, is also very nice. The exterior architectural structure decorated with water waves and fish motifs signals that you will spend a few extraordinary hours.
Each of the water tanks inside the aquarium is decorated with different concepts. It is very enjoyable to watch the fish moving among the decorative objects referring to different parts of the world such as the Indian Ocean, the Red Sea, the Atlantic, the Pacific Oceans, the Nile, the Amazon and Asian rivers.
The fish that roam around airplane wrecks, submarine wrecks, pirate treasures, Genoese wrecks and sunken cities also create a different mystery and extraordinary excitement.
The world’s longest aquarium
One of the areas that attracts the most attention from visitors is the 131-meter-long and 3-meter-wide tunnel that Antalya Aquarium boasts of its length.
As you walk through the tank, which is said to be the largest underwater tunnel in the world, sharks and stingrays pass over you. The decoration of this huge tank was designed by Italian sculptor Benedetti.
Taking flash photos in environments such as aquariums negatively affects the sea creatures there. Fish that experience temporary blindness due to the sudden flash of light can harm themselves by hitting the decorations in the aquarium.
This is the reason why there are clearly written signs everywhere stating that flash photography is prohibited. Please be sensitive about this and do not use flash.
Antalya Aquarium activities
Shark feeding
One of the most popular activities at Antalya Aquarium is shark feeding. All the creatures in the aquarium are properly fed and especially the professional divers feeding the sharks attract a lot of attention.
They are usually fed mackerel, horse mackerel, sardines, squid and shrimp. For herbivorous creatures, vegetables and fruits such as carrots, lettuce, kiwi, peppers are mainly on the menu.
The feeding time is usually around noon, around 12:00, but this feeding time can vary. If you are particularly interested in watching such a feeding event, you can ask by phone what time the feeding will take place.
Within the Antalya Aquarium complex, there are Mado Cafe, Mc Donald’s and Gelatte, whose ice creams are very good. Be sure to eat the ice creams, each one more beautiful than the other.
Other activities at Antalya Aquarium
Snow World Snow World
Antalya Aquarium offers its visitors areas where they can perform various activities. The most important of these is the Snow World, where the ambient temperature is kept at -5 degrees thanks to special technologies in Antalya, where snow is very rare.
The fine water particles sprayed into the air are also frozen with special systems and allowed to fall to the ground as snow. Since the temperature can be kept constant, Snow World has soft snow at all times of the year.
Visitors can slide down the snowy slides, have snowball fights and enjoy sausage bread at the mountain hut-shaped kiosks in the Snow World halls. You’ll be provided with cold protective clothing, but you’ll need to bring your own beanie and gloves. Snow World Snow World can be visited every day of the week between 10:00 – 20:00.
Wild Park
Wild Park is an area with special designs reflecting caves, deserts and tropical forests in general. You can see the world’s most dangerous reptiles, the biggest frogs, the most poisonous creatures in aquarium-like closed tanks in Wild Park halls.
Oceanride XD Cinema
The Oceanride XD Cinema at the entrance of the Aquarium entertainment complex takes visitors on a 3D journey.
From the wrecks of the World War 1 Lundy ship sunk in Çanakkale to the glaciers of Antarctica, from the colorful underwater world of Zanzibar to the seals of San Diego, you can watch many submarines with 3D glasses and simulation cinema seats that move in sync with the submarine shots.
Accompanied by Captain Barbossa, you can meet blue whales, sea lions, turtles and great white sharks and feel the water and air that they emit thanks to the feature of the cinema.
Face2Face Wax Museum
On the terrace floor of Antalya Aquarium, there is a wax museum where you can see celebrities and have your photo taken with them. From Michael Jackson to Mark Zeckenberg, from Muhammad Ali to Salvador Dali, you can see the wax statues of many celebrities.

Where is Antalya Aquarium?
Antalya Aquarium, which is 70 meters from Konyaaltı beach, can be easily seen from many places. You can visit the aquarium from anywhere by reaching 5M Migros, which is considered the center of Konyaaltı.
The distance between Antalya Aquarium and Antalya Airport is 15 km. You can reach 5M Migros, which is within walking distance to the aquarium, by using the bus line numbered 600 and 800. It is also very close to Konyaalti Beaches.
You can take buses numbered TK36 and VF02 to reach Antalya Aquarium from the bus terminal. Transportation from Lara is possible with buses numbered KL08, LF09 and LF10.
You can reach the aquarium by taking buses LC37 and LC73 from Kundu, Antalya minibuses or buses departing from Kemer Bus Station and getting off at the center. If you go with your personal car, you can leave your car in many free parking lots around the aquarium.

The aquarium can be visited every day of the week. Visiting hours are 09:30 – 20:00. Be sure to check the visiting hours before you go in case they change.

If you have to choose between these activities, enter the aquarium without a doubt. Snow World is more of a place where children can have fun. I also highly recommend the movie theater at the exit of the aquarium. Antalya Aquarium and other thematic sections do not accept Museum Pass.
